2022 Rules and Regulations to be aware of
These rules will be in place until further notice.
Arrival
Do not attend class if you are feeling at all unwell or are displaying signs of Covid - fever (elevated temp 37.5° or above), cough, runny nose.
Arrive dressed and ready for class already wearing your mask.
Please bring your own water bottles and if you must get changed then use the toilet only.
Arrive as close to the class start time as possible to limit time and person-to-person contact on site. Please wait outside (socially distant) until invited to come in.
Check in using the QR codes located on the front door or in the studio waiting area.
For your first class back you will need to show Natalie evidence of your vaccination status.
Sanitize your hands on arrival.
Limit the amount of belongings you bring to class:
- Bottled water
- Sweat Towel / Pilates mat towel
- Tap shoes / Pilates socks
- Mask
- Phone for QR check in
- Car keys
- Jumper / Jacket for after class
Put your belongings down (quickly put your tap shoes on), and with your drink bottle in hand head straight to a space / Pilates mat on the floor. Drink bottles will be placed on the floor to mark out your area in tap classes. This will not only allow easy access to grab a drink during class but will also prevent gathering and to maintain physical distancing measures at all times especially during drink breaks.
As much as we all have missed each other, have been through difficult times and/or are excited to see each other again please avoid physical greetings such as hugging, kissing or hand shaking.
During Class
Ceiling / floor fans will be on, windows & the door will be open to allow for good ventilation of air throughout the studio.
Try to maintain 1.5m apart in your own area throughout the class as much as possible.
Masks to be worn until class commences however you can continue to wear one for the entire duration of class if you prefer.
Your teacher Natalie will not wear her mask when facing the mirrors during tap class in order for you to “hear†the instruction. Natalie will wear a mask whenever she directly faces students and during Pilates classes.
Post class
Covid wipe down of Pilates mats & props, benches, door handles etc will continue post class.
Please grab your belongings as quickly as possible and head straight out via the side door for socially distant flow of traffic and to not allow gatherings in common spaces. Pilates clients are to grab their belongings one at a time to maintain social distancing.
Please remember to make use of the hand sanitizer as you exit.
Do not gather outside and just head straight to your cars.
Please Note: Those who do back-to-back Tap classes please remain socially distanced on the floor as your fellow tappers grab their things to exit as well as whilst the next class is invited in.
Please continue to be mindful of staying safe and following the Public Health Orders. I look forward to welcoming you back to class.
See you in class soon,
Natalie
New Year, New Beginnings
It is with much regret and a heavy heart that I am writing to inform you I will be reducing to a Boutique Mat Pilates & Tap Dance Studio only. The decision to cut back on teaching dance was not easy for me to make but is the right one for my family at this point in time.
It has become increasingly difficult to schedule classes around my husband’s work without putting unfair pressure on my father to look after the kids while he is also having to care for my mum, who many of you know has Alzheimers. I would like to be able to spend more time with my kids as they are growing up.
This is obviously a very difficult decision to make and not one that was taken lightly as I will miss seeing my students (my extended family for the past 25 years) who trusted me with their personal life stories and welcomed me as a friend for many years.
I’d like to take the opportunity to acknowledge all the help, assistance and kindness from my friends, family & supporters I’ve had along the way.
So, for the meantime, I wish you all well as I enter a new chapter with my family.
Keep fit, keep active, keep moving forward & maybe I’ll see you on the mat
in a Pilates class or on the floor in Tap class throughout the year.
Kindest Regards,
Natalie Bazun-Coates
